You must have the right survival mindset anytime you are out in the wilderness or just woods. STOPA is a key part to any survival situation and a survival mindset whether you’re out in the woods by yourself or you are on a family camping trip. When you are in a situation you need to remember to use the acronym STOPA and to apply it. the First letter to STOPA is the letter S. S stands for STOP. You must STOP before you get yourself into anymore trouble. After S the next letter would be T. T stands for THINK. You must stop and think about the situation and how you got in that situation to begin with. The O stands for OBSERVE/OBSERVATION. The next thing to do is to observe the situation and observe everything around you, and that leads us to the next letter which is P. P is for PLANNING. After you stop, think, and observe, you must plan and come up with ideas and things to do to get out of the situation you put yourself in. Last but not least, the last letter to the STOPA acronym is the letter A. The A stands for ACT. Once you have Stopped, Thought, Observed, and Planned, the next thing to do would be to ACT and to execute your plan so that you can get out of the situation that you were in.
